April Delena Campbell
April Campbell was born May 6, 1979 in a little town called Bamberg, South Carolina to the proud parents of Willie Freeman and Evelyn Campbell. April is the oldest out of three girls by the two parents. April's parents split when she was only three years old.
In June 1994, April's mother passed away from complications dealing with her Lupus at the age of twelve-five, April was five years old. April and her sisters were left in the care of her grandmom and aunt in Mount Holly New Jersey.
In eighth grade, April had to do a writing assignment. She had to write a short horror story for her English class. Her classmates loved the story and wanted more, but her teacher didn't approve of it. The teacher told her that if April continued to write horror stories, she would never amount to anything. April was furious and continued to write. After she completed a story, she would share each new story with her friends. They were so excited to hear April's new stories each week. She found a new project and she loved it. April put all her stories together into one flowing novel and called it, "Mind Games." Well, the rest is history.
In 1999, she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, which she named him, "David." In 2000, they moved to Pennsylvania. As the years went by, things took a turn for the worst. April put her writing aside and cared for her family.
In 2006, after putting her writing aside April discovered a local self-publishing company called, "Infinity Publishing" in West Conshohocken PA. April finally published her first novel. This made April; the first published author in her family. She did it with a lot of PATIENCE and support from her family and friends.
Now in 2009, April has decided to go back to school. She is studying Criminal Justice at ITT Tech, but she is still writing. She is now a president of a chapter in her school. April enjoys spending time with her family and teaching her son the fundamental of reading and writing. She loves to watch a good movie especially horror movies. She takes the time to meet new people whenever she gets a chance. April has a free and caring spirit at times! She always tries to find new ways to encourage those around her to listen to their hearts and follow their dreams. When April writes she finds a way to unwind and let's her mind wander off freely.
